NaNoWriMo has been keeping me busy haha. I'm kinda fighting with artblock haha, I find black and white work the most relaxing, it's how I went with this. A simple picture to get me back on track :) Also, halfway it became a test of MangaStudio. While it's inked in SAI, all tones and other effects were added in MS.

This is the same outfit as here [link] :giggle: only without the crest.

I usually never do this, but... especially in the thumbnail, this picture reminds me of the artstyle of Alichino. Don't know if you've ever read it before, but I absolutely love it! And I've never seen that from you before so it surprised me and it's beautiful. I hope you don't mind me saying that... I apologize.
This definitely looks like it came straight from a manga though! ^^ I love his fierce expression - looks like he's casting a spell and whoever's on the receiving end better watch out, lol. I love the details, especially in his hair. While this may be 'a simple picture' it still looks like you put a lot of effort into it and it looks great! :D I like your black and white just as much as your colored. I love your art to pieces, although not literally. ^^;

Hahaaha, I didn't thought of that. I mean, I have to say I really liked the art of Alichino, though I generally consider Clamp and Kaori Yuki as my bigger inspiration in the manga style black and white work. I like working in black and white, and should do it much more hah!

Ah! Yeah, I could definitely see the Kaori Yuki! I haven't seen her stuff in a long time. Of course, your stuff still looks like yours, it just reminded me of it. ^^ I agree that you should do it more, though! It looks amazing. :D

I haven't seen her recent stuff too, i have to admit. Kinda shame, gotta catch up someday when i'll have time ;)
I guess I don't do enough of the black&white stuff because it kinda reminds me and makes me miss the times when i used to draw manga haha.
